The 2026 Community Volunteer Income Tax Return Program is open!

It can be expensive to file your income tax return at a tax preparation office, and if you do it yourself you could easily miss out on deductions and tax credits that you are entitled to receive such as Canada Child Benefit, GST rebate, Canada Disability Benefit, or Old Age Security supplement.

Harvest Manitoba’s Income Tax and Benefit Return Program can help you to prepare and file your income tax and benefit return.

If you have a modest income and a simple tax situation you may qualify for this program*. Contact us and trained Harvest volunteers will file your tax return for FREE between March 2nd and April 30th, 2026.

Modest Income: Single household income under $40,000 or Couple household income under $55,000 (+$5,000 per dependent)

Simple tax situation excludes:

    • Exceeding modest income
    • Professional or business income
    • Rental income and expenses
    • Capital gains or losses
    • Investment income over $1,000
